IMCO Carbide Tool
Brief Overview
IMCO Carbide Tool, Inc. of Perrysburg, Ohio, was in need of a comprehensive brand overhaul that included changing their approach in the market and the way they interact with existing and new customers. IMCO engaged Sheroian + Associates to generate a new identity package, create a new standardized print catalog, and a host of other branding pieces.
Sheroian and IMCO in turn engaged Magnate Interactive to perform the massive redesign and development effort for their public website.
Project Goals
Chief among the goals for the new website was to carry over the bold new identity and branding elements, which included a streamlined and sophisticated new logo and incredibly rich product photography. An online version of the catalog, now fully maintained in-house by IMCO staff, helped bring together the company's existing marketing efforts with their venture online.
You nailed it. That's exactly what I was looking for.
-Perry Osburn, President, IMCO Carbide Tool
Implementation
Magnate Interactive brought expertise in user interface and information design to the table, with the initial branding elements and color scheme concepted by Sheroian + Associates. Reversed type on a dark gray background helps to make the sharp and detailed photography really stand out.
As goes for any of our website projects, the site was built using clean XHTML markup and CSS, with minimal JavaScript enhancements. The use of special fonts for headings is accomplished with a JavaScript/Flash based technique called sIFR, keeping the text search engine indexable and accessible to visitors with disabilities.
