Meet some of our people
Magnate Interactive is a design collective – a talented group of uniquely skilled and geographically distributed web professionals – with expertise in engineering and design, illustration and animation, photography and video production. It's an approach that enables us to operate in a very lean and efficient manner, while delivering top-notch user experiences.
Matthew Braun
An advocate for the union of modern Web standards and multimedia technologies, Matt believes that rich user experience and community-driven content can convert your website’s users into your brand’s evangelists. With a background in both design and programming, Matt is an accomplished UX designer and iPhone, Flex, and JavaScript developer. He has worked for large companies and local non-profits, including Owens Corning, Delta Faucet Company, HGTV/Scripps Networks, Cherry Street Mission Ministries, Kitchen for the Poor, and numerous others.
Ryan Lanciaux
A professional software developer based in Northwest Ohio, Ryan is passionate about web development and continuous improvement to his craft. Ryan is always researching emerging technologies, honing process using methods like scrum and Kanban, and is focused on providing simple solutions to complex problems. He has expertise in database-driven application engineering, Microsoft's .NET platform, PHP, and Ruby on Rails.
Joel Derkin
Located in Columbus, Ohio, Joel Derkin is a designer with many diverse skills, acquired over a decade of involvement in arts and media. He is a self-proclaimed perfectionist with a passion for graphic arts and effective message execution across all media – print, web, photo, video – whatever it takes to artistically and concisely communicate your message to your intended audience.
Nick Lanciaux
A Northwest Ohio based video producer, Nick has spent many years focused on his passion of motion graphic design. Great story telling is key to any video's success and Nick's love of video production has given him the necessary skills to communicate your message effectively.
Roger Tipping
At his base of operations in Toledo, Ohio, Roger has one simple credo: if you don't love it, don't upload it. He believes that a great user experience is much more than 'do, or do not' and specializes in transforming social networking communities from a place to go, into a place to be.
Benjamin Derkin
Based in Ohio, Benjamin Derkin is a professional photographer with a passion for combining powerful design with amazing photography. With over 5 years of experience Benjamin believes that a photograph needs to communicate in a way that words can’t by drawing the viewer into a deeper understanding of your subject.
